Spark AR Manager - Setup

Step ONE:

Click this link to go to the Spark AR Hub

Spark AR Hub is homepage where we will upload and manage your filters. Spark AR is a augmented reality program owned by Facebook and used to create story filters.

Because Facebook owns Instagram, all filters for both services are managed through the Facebook platform.

**Before you start, make sure your Instagram is linked to your Facebook personal or business page.

Step TWO:

Next we will add me as an AR Manager on your Spark AR Hub, so that I can access your Hub to upload and manage filters. I won’t have access to your Facebook or Instagram to post, see messages, your passwords, or any financial information. I will only be able to upload filters, update filters, and see the insights for filters we work on together.

I designed this PDF to help walkyou through the process, or follow the steps below:

  • Once you are in Spark AR Hub, click the settings icon in the bottom left, and choose Settings.
  • At the top of the page, click the Permissions tab.
  • Choose which page to edit - usually this is the business page that your instagram is connected to.
  • Under permissions groups, click to create a new group.
  • Name the group - the name is just for you, it isn’t public. I suggest something like “ProjoeAR Filter manager”.
  • Search by my name “Projoe AR” to add me, then click create.

Search by my name “Projoe AR”, my profile image looks like this.

If you can't find me, sometimes it’s easier if we are friends on Facebook, because I will show up at the top of the search results.

Click here to view my page and friend me if you’d like (you can unfriend me after the process).

Step THREE:

Finally, wait a minute or two and refresh the page. You should see a new group added with my name as a contributor/AR Manager. And that means we are good to go!
